Good game. I`m happy that the red team followed my clues all the way.

I agree that WarriorKnight had a significantly harder board. I literally have no idea how to get all nine blue words in just three turns. It obviously didn`t help that the other team guessed BALL which gave us a flying start.

SKYSCRAPER and PYRAMID were easy to pair and ENGINE was pretty obvious too. Luminous 3 is a clever clue, maybe it would have been better to go for that for the first clue?

I saw the Tchaikovsky clue but couldn`t think of any way of getting all the remaining four red words in a single clue. Thus, I played it safe and went for a clue that would get rid of TICK (which was probably the hardest remaining red word left). That would leave just a single chance to clear out NUT, PIANO and CONDUCTOR but I felt reasonably confident that Tchaikovsky would get the job done.

As WarriorKnight mentioned, there isn`t really any good way of getting all of BAND, SWING, KETCHUP and SLIP at a single turn. I didn`t want to help his cause by removing PIANO too early either.

Well played, red. Tchaikovsky was a very good clue. And that was indeed a tough blue board. Maybe Trap (STRING, SLIP, SWING, BUTTON?, but a risk of PYRAMID), Sealed (KETCHUP, BAND, BUTTON?, but risking HAM), and your Luminous clue.

Very smooth spymastering, in my amateur opinion.

What was your original plan for BALL?

Well, I didn`t really have any plan for BALL as it was gifted at the first turn. I basically wanted to go Construction 3 first and then reassess. BALL and TICK should be possible to pair in some way. Hmm, I can`t think of any easy way to do that right now.
