slowly massing galleons and building units. I either join Yuri in attacking Scooter (finally??????????????????????) or just attack Yuri to get this game over with sooner. Decisions. Im leaning the latter because this is ridiculous.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

I want it to be known. Ive been whipping harder than ANYONE else. Here are the demos ^ Im still somehow in 2nd for GNP. Im not creative, yes im in REP but im not running any specialists that i can recall, So...??
Graphs:
Bing has proven that having a broken civ/combo/ect doesnt mean shit if you fool around.
Yes, he is in a GA.. but STILL.
Saved the best for last. See how Bing has been bottom of the barrel? I had brief moments in the spotlight. But very short lived as i usually had to whip to protect myself. I think if Cairo hadnt shoved every defender he could into our border, i could have focused elsewhere. I really wanna know post-game why.
So, im hoping people see when we fail this (planned? Coalition? Dunno?) against Scooter, that they should have FF'd about 40t ago. Annoying having to play on when people have blinders on.

Sent Yuri a 100gpt deal for fish/iron. I wanna fund him to get higher tech. Anything to potentially put a dent in Scooter. Swapped to Vassalage this turn, next turn i plan on whipping as many Frigates as i can. Soon, i shall attempt something. Still a lost cause as he has at LEAST double the research power as our ENTIRE alliance. /sigh.

Mkay. 100gpt for fish/iron. 1. This clearly is for Yuri to get to frigates and join me in a last-ditch attempt to do SOMETHING this game. Im not kingmaking as i dont see myself all that much farther from 1st as Yuri. Only whipped-pop really. Im roughly even across the board in tech i think, at least in what matters. I have the Mid's. Im not a far-3rd if anything. 2. I HAVE (last i recalled) 1 source of iron. Scooter can take that away from me pretty quickly if he wanted to/chose to. (looking at past screenshots, it might be 2 sources but both are very easily razed/blockaded) So, it also supplies me with iron in which (i believe) is required to build my own frigates which, this next turn will be whipped en-mass.
If i was gifting my entire treasury every turn to say, Ginger/civac in the last PB where they were duking it out with Mjmd? Yeah, that would be more along the lines of king-making as i was HORRIBLY behind and outside of literal nuclear armageddon being unleashed between JUST both sides, no one else was going to win that game. This game is at the very least different. To me, this feels like Scooter being unhappy that he doesnt get to play sandbox sim and poke us 40 times and we are unable to do anything because apparently, i was the only one to give a shit for most of the game.
Unit gifts are banned because those are VERY CLEARLY something to be banned. "oh hey, im gifting my multi promo available units to you.. as a CHA leader, to promote them and then send back" or.. the LOVELY situation that i recall happening in the last Civforum game i played in where an army was straight up gifted to someone that i was fighting.
Unit's cannot be "stolen/gifted ect" as part of peace deals. Resources/gold can be. We have limits sometimes in these PB's to "1-city per peace deal" or "dont abuse/ask lurker" kinda stuff regarding cities. I dont feel we need to make special rules for gold/gpt/resources.
Ill be quite disappointed if he stops playing this PB because of a deal that has multiple reasons for being sent. He's played sandbox enough.

Can you think of iron ever being worth 100gpt? Obviously absurd and a bad faith argument. Can you think of a situation where gold gifting was being made to someone in contention recently in civ4?
In a normal Pangaea map? probably not. On a sea map where its the difference between fielding 8str frigates and caravels or triremes? Id argue its worth it. Obviously, if it wasnt a super clear "hey, this is literally the only way we MIGHT be able to keep scooter occupied/raze enough cities that we can get to within 1 tech of him sometime in 200t" then id have let things be. But, a sea map. A clearly way more experienced player in a pool of awful to poor to meh to cairo (who is doing who knows what). And ive been the only one giving a shit for turns and turns. Game should have been called when i was the closest to galleons after scooter at 10-20t after.
Call the game, its being held hostage. ffs.

I am once again asking the game just be called. Both for the obvious Scooter victory, and because apparently at this stage of the game gifting some gold (for the various reasons ive since posted) has stirred up ALOT of shit.

Frustration and lack of sleep had me check to see the odds on a couple units vs a scooter city i had placed some units at. cant remember which unit i ended up checking, but let go of the mouse button and of course the attack went thru. Decided to just throw caution to the wind and see what could happen. Sent in everything else. I have another stack of galleons 1-2 turns out, and i DID end up killing a couple units... so uh.. Game is still over. Someone kindly nudge whomever hasnt been in the right state of mind to say "hey i concede" The only ones that had any and i mean ANY chance at pulling something out of our asses, are Yuri and myself. I cant imagine its Yuri still holding on. Maybe its Bing? Could be cairo too since he has refused to even send anything back regarding trying to help vs scooter. Sad.

got some horrendous luck attacking scooters city. Still captured it, but damn. Lost 5 more units than vodka predicted.
