Farming builds

Who says farming is boring? Sure, it's boring to farm the same areas time after time, but it's a load of fun finding ways to farm different areas with the same character.

I thought I'd share a necro farming build, because it's a little different from the norm, and solo necro farming isn't that popular / common. I haven't tried farming too many areas, but he seems quite flexible. I'll be trying him in a couple of areas later to see how he performs, but he farms griffons with ease.

55HP Ne/Mo Curse Farmer
Equipment: Any 55HP gear; preferable with a +15/-1 wand. It's cheap, because armour is irrelevant, and you can use any old

The exact attribute point distribution isn't essential, but divided evenly between SR, curses and protection prayers works well.

Skills:
Protective Spirit
Parasitic Bond
Insidous Parasite
Spiteful Spirit
Reckless Haste
Signet of Lost Souls
Signet of Suffering
Optional is enfeeble or enfeebling blood.

The key to the build is keeping IP on a physical attacker, preferably one who won't die til it runs out, and obviously keeping PS up.

I suspect this build will be just as effective farming dune burrowers and scarabs in my usual haunts.

The only problem with that build is as soon as you have 3 attackers hitting you and you cast SS on one of them and IP on another. The one with IP will go down first leaving you with a very low amount of health regen.

Also i don't understand why you bring enfeeble/enfeebling blood as optional skill. You shouldn't have to worry about the dmg done to you by melee. SInce they can do 5 max no matter what. I think that for e-managment purposes it might be better to bring balthazar's spirit instead.

Further the build is very different form the 55hp Necro builds i did run before. It looks interesting tho and i will try it out once i got enough time to play again smile

When the IP'ed monster goes down, IP another one. IP serves dual roles of damage and healing, so it's never wasted. It helps to IP the highest HP attacker, though, mainly to allow IP to acheive the max effect per point of energy spent.

You wanna know something funny? I'd never heard of Balthazars Spirit until you mentioned it now...might make a helpful addition. lol Enfeeble was just acting as a backup for when I forgot to renew PS in time. Between Soul Reaping and Signet of LS, I don't run out of energy, but it might reduce cooldown between fights.

I find this build to be more forgiving than my 55hp blood build, because I only have one enchantment to keep running. The curse line also kills faster than the blood line per point of energy spent, in my experience.

I suspect, with tinkering, I can even handle some mild degen from poison or disease, which will open my farming options even more.
