Anyone want a Mythos invite?

Mythos is a Diablo1-esque/Fate-ish type game, currently under development by Flagship Studios/Seattle (an unexpected satellite of Flagship Studios/San Francisco, which was started by the main originators of D1, plus Bill Roper, who is making Hellgate:London, a possibly deformed version of D3...).

Anyway, I have one invitation to the Mythos beta-test to hand out (all I need is an e-mail to send it to), so pm-me with your e-mail if you're interested...next test starts in 12 hours (10 a.m. US pacific time).

Sorry I never saw where GWs was going in the long run...

Mythos seems pretty interesting from what I've seen so far. Has graphics that look like they're somewhere between Diablo and WoW, which is kinda neat. I wouldn't mind giving it a try at some point, but unfortunately my comp is still out of commission for the next few days so I wouldn't be able to join in tonight. Oh well, that's life I suppose.

Actually, I think Mythos has some RBD potential. For example, you can get to dungeons by buying maps from an NPC-cartographer, so there's a lot of freedom in the challenges you pick, from one-person maps with monsters around your own lvl, to "epic" party-maps with much higher lvl monsters. It's true that right now they don't have the balance at all correct, so single players can solo high lvl epic maps (at the moment, archers being the only real, and highly nasty, threat), but hopefully those issues will be sorted out in the final version; and Mythos will be free to play --- definitely a cheap date, whether it's of the male or female persuasion. There are even a few cursed items: I've only seen them in rares so far (e.g. "fumbling" reduces to-hit), which come in many colors (blue, green, purple, yellow, orange), but some RBD-style feedback might be a good thing, however the game works out in the end.

I'm afraid GWs never clicked with me (for whatever reason: the mission structure, unsure what the end-game really was about, especially since PvP is not my bag baby, its general incomprehensibility,...) so I doubt I'll ever go back --- I've even been playing a little DII recently, and enjoying it, god help me. My hopes for the future are on Hellgate:London, but whether or not it will realize them remains to be seen...
