As always real life does not allowe me to go for a big report. So here just a few comments and a quick history while goig through my screenshots and trying to remember what I did weeks ago.

Found my second city in the common spot to the east. My third city was actually a barbarian city to the south, which I kept and made into one of the legendary three.

At the 260 deadline I had 6 cities with all together 3 libs and 3 Confucian temples.

The Parthenon completed in 305AD and the Great Lib in 395AD.

I lost Itza by 5 turns in 710AD
Founded Confuciasm, Christianity, Taosim & Islam.
Germany and Spain vanished around 1200AD.
Build lots of other wonders.
At 1500AD I made it to:
1 Christian Cathedral
2 Confucian Academies
1 Islamic Mosque
& 3 Univeristies
All in "just" 7 cities.

It was my first attempt on a cultural victory, so I struggled to get the artist popping right. I ended up with the odd prophet, which was used for shrine building helping my economy a lot. The Kong Mia in 1679 generated 25 gold.

I actually got a Defensive Pact with Toku. eek

First city turns legendary in 1835AD.

Nicely timed to a cultural victory in 1841AD.

Game was over before I could finish Hollywood and I never even researched up to SEALs IIRC. I think Steam Power was the in the pipe at the end.

I got some wars against myself and loads of inter-AI wars.
Lots of heart skipping at the fanfare!

I did not too much of policing. If I happened to be in a multi-civ war I stayed in the background only ever killing troops to get some sort of balance. However, nothing I could have done against the vanishing of Freddie and Izzy that early.

So here is the scoring:

victory in 1841AD_________25
9 civs alive at end of game__36
3 libraries at 260AD________3
3 temples at 260AD________3
4 cathedrals at 1500AD_____8
3 universities at 1500AD____3
Parthenon________________7
Eiffel tower_______________1

That's freaking awesome!! Built on a mutual struggle vs. Greece, I imagine?

Nicely done, mostly_harmless. Definitely beat my score and time (will have my summary/report up later tonight).

I also managed to get a defensive pact with Toku. In fact, I had open borders and various trade deals (resources, techs) for much of the game. Mutual military struggle against Fred in my case -- totally sham on my part, but when the dogpile started (Toku, Alex, Monty, and Caesar!) I joined in for diplo bonuses all around.

Reading the reports so far, Germany and Spain seem to be common victims. I think Sulla may have overdone it a bit, weakening their starting positions. nod

Nice game indeed! That's a very good date for the Cultural victory too; good chance of picking up some extra points. You wouldn't have gotten either the Parthenon (445BC!) or Great Library (245AD) in my world though - wonder why the Parthenon fell so early in my game. A lot of players benefitted from that in the reports I've been reading. Oh well - luck always is a factor!

Any chance we can get some pictures of your three Legendary cities on the final turn of the game? nod

Nonsense! If none of the AIs got killed, what would have been the point of having that scoring option? You guys just didn't protect them well enough. (Says the man who also let Fred die. wink )
