Hi,

Ah yes, I should have thought of that. That's of course a good reason to research Hunting; many people do that. I almost never build scouts though. By the time I have researched Hunting and built a scout, most huts are gone already anyway and barb warriors/archers start to show up, so I'd rather delay scouting in favor of my growth curve, research critical worker techs instead and scout with better units later. If I start with Hunting, I *may* build a scout sometimes depending on the map/size settings, but even that I do only rarely.

That often leads to a badly scouted map, but I think the accelerated growth curve of my empire more than offsets this. smile

Hi,

I faced similar frustration in my game with catas, until I had accuracy trebuchets which lowered the defenses ridiculously fast. huh

Yep, annoying indeed. I had to defy these resolutions. smile

With the ability to defy, I think the AP is okay and a fun addition, another thing to look out for and plan accordingly - although I'd prefer to see the result of a vote before having to decide whether I want to defy or not.

Good game! And that tank picture is hilarious. lol

Nice Dominationa hammer. I haven't used Spies much to incite revolts, the few times I've tried it the spies end up getting caught and now I'm stuck outside a city whipping defenders. I guess the keys are 1) have more EPs to boost your odds, and 2) bring way more Spies than you need.

I hate the new siege setup, until you can get Theocracy/Vassalage siege units are useless for bombing down defenses. I agree with TheRat, why bother -just incite a revolt

Siege was nerfed into oblivion
1. Increased cost
2. Flanking Damage by Mounted units
3. Decreased bombardment
4. Collateral Damage now "misses" units that can't recieve it and is lost instead of reassigned

The whole thing never made sense to me, nerf siege and then make it useless with espionage huh
