Epic 13 - starring mostly_harmless as Hammurabi in "Hammurabi and his merry men"

We were supposed to play around with the new BtS. Since I did not play Warlords, lets play around with the vassals thing.
As I still lack time to write long reports here just a few highlights:

875BC Declare war on Khmer. Their land is good, I am boxed in and their defenses are just pathetic.
675BC The Khmer are no more.

From then on its a long period of peaceful building until we start the vassalizing project:

The Byzantines surrendered in 1300AD
The Dutch surrendered in 1365AD
The Portugese in 1788AD
The Maya in 1810AD
The Ethiopians could not surrender, since they spun of a colony already and I guess the system does not allow for a master to become a vassal. Also the colony does not break free with that 50% land rule. A weak point in the game design. So Zara got himself killed in 1830AD
I granted an colony independence (Persia) in 1830AD
The Aztec (former Ethiopian colony) surrendered in 1841AD
I granted an colony independence (Egypt) in 1841AD
The Native American surrendered in 1845AD

Meanwhile, unclever city gifting management granted me an DOMINATION VICTORY IN 1840AD just before I could subdue the last two adversaries.

So the final funny picture is this one:

A fun game!

A couple of comments re the vassal system.
- Surrendered AIs (forced vassal) should be more willing to part from technology, after all the new master will be all over the blueprints after the surrender. With the current setup there is very little incentive for not finishing them off but keep them as grumpy vassals.
- Colony spin offs should also be able to break free from their master with the 50% land / pop from master rule. I am not 100% certain about this, but Zara was not able to surrender to me (only one undefended city left with tank divisions knocking on the door) because they were master of their spun off colony.
