Civ4: Colonization

No, it's not the resurrection of Epic 15, it's the new "game experience" from Firaxis, details here. It does look like it's got more to it than a free mod, but I guess it depends on the price and the gameplay as to whether it's worth buying. Maybe a demo will help make one's mind up.

And I know makes more financial sense to get your designers to make new "game experiences", but they'd make me happier if they made a patch to fix the issues that the last BTS patch broke.

Ok, yes, I've been out of touch for, oh, entirely too long around here...

Just reading through various announcements from E3 including D3 and Colonizaiton. Seeing as I throroughly enjoyed Colonizaiton back in the day (have even been known to pull up a copy and play a game or two every now and then), was just curious whether or not the RB folks would be playing any/much of this when it comes out?

Based on lack of inital response here, I doubted it, but just thought I'd chime in.

Hope everyone is doing well.

We're pretty much immune to the hype machine around here. Let it get released and get shaken out in patches, then we'll evaluate it for RB community interest and potential. Civfanatics and Apolyton are more likely to jump in on day one; for a title as big as Civilization, there'll definitely be communities around.

I knew there was a reason I always come back to RB.

Kinda what I figured, but thanks. smile

If this game begins before the colonies are created, shouldn't it be spelled Civilisation IV: Colonisation. Then you as you play the game you can draft your declaration of independence, waste a whole lot of tea and replace all the "s"s with "z"s. Then the title banner suddenly becomes Civilization IV: Colonization and you win the game?
