green-dot - please! Ok, funny.
Your first city and mine were 1 tile off - still got 5 deer. Not really sure why I put mine where I did - 1 off a river too. I might have been trying for some extra mountains. My games lately I have been gunning for an early production site. And my copper site was different from yours too - that one was to capture some water for the Moia statues. Re carbon emissions - did you factor in the final bout of carbon caused by death? Hmm - I guess that happens when ever you die so it probably is a nil gain. Re french forest chop - who got the hammers? Nice game - I decided to skip the biology sling because I had decided to go all the way to radio - not sure why now. Edit: some observations on your report (html more than civ) ... I think you have the same pic twice on page 4 - but it is a nice city. Also, your last page has some incorrect links (prev / next) at the bottom
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Hey Ruff, I didn't notice till now that you'd posted a full report. Thought you had a brief placeholder but I had that confused with Swiss Pauli. I'll have to go read and comment now.
My first city went in that location in order to match borders perfectly with the capital. Yours left a one tile wide strip of unusable land. The locations are pretty much equal, five deer and one peak. You're right that the river access was a nonissue; the health never mattered, and my game ended before a levee would come into play. I built Moai at my copper site too. It had only 5 water tiles but that was still 5 more than any other city. No point in stretching out for 2-1-1 ocean tiles over forests at 2-1-2 plus health and happy. France got the forest hammers. Chopping happens as part of the worker action, so it depends on the worker's nationality, not the tile's owner. Argh, I fixed that HTML but forgot to upload it. That's what I get for writing with most of my attention on the Giants game. It's fixed now, thanks for the catch. The suppressed picture was the Apostolic Palace assigning me control of a flip target, if you'd like to go see it now. |
