I guess not everyone shares my penchant for keeping notes on pen and paper?

Well, for the record, my writing skills (meaning writing, not things like making up a story and grammar) are so bad that I think I lost many points in many school contests just because no one could figure out what did I write. In fact, I sometimes have trouble reading my own notes. :P

As for the Adventure, I could maybe try my hand at it, but I'm not suited to Emperor.

I'm hesitant to recommend stripping down BUG as a general solution. We don't want mod issues cropping up in the middle of scenario play. I think we really need a standalone pillage logger that does only that, or else just go with the scenario unmodded.

I agree with T-hawk here. I think you should start with unmodded BTS and add a simple pillage logging mod instead of trying to disable BUG.

For anything other than logging, I would agree with you. However, there is a huge range of stuff that the logger has to know with the most difficult being 'where to put the log file'. BUG has invested many man-days into getting this right and it is actually easier for me to make sure the 'disable' BUG features work (something that BUG actually prides itself on).

That said, the buttons that T-Hawk mentioned on F4 are now not optional. We made an underlying change to IconGrid (the control that builds F4) that we failed to make optional - and it would take to long to dig into that.

I found this tool that dumps the event log to a txt file. Unfortunately it only works on warlords. I believe Ruff knows about it already (at least knew )

The tool myothercar mentioned dumps the in-game log to a text file. The in-game log only keeps a certain number of pillage events record (as someone else noted).

I've updated the mod for this game (cut out of BUG what I can and still not get python errors ). It is still hosted at CFC.

Did anyone else play this adventure? I didn't have time to finish, but I had quite a bit of fun so far.

Again RL interfered and prevented me from playing, even though I liked the theme of the game a lot.
