Adv41 - Ruff is both Organized and Protective

I'll grammar nazi on reports, but not for tense. When an event happens and when it's written about form a 3x3 matrix on past/present/future and that's not worth keeping straight. :neenernee

I had a city close to your Murcia, no food resources but lots of hills, and was happy with it as a hammer producer in the late game. Sushi food was pretty much necessary, farms to me always feel like a waste when they could be workshops or watermills or cottages instead. Food is only a means to an end, not an end in itself.

I did like the map design, with the nice defensible peninsula. Exactly the antipodal opposite of Focal Point. Did make for rather an easy game on Monarch though. I'm surprised your AIs researched well enough to make the espionage economy worthwhile, usually that doesn't happen on Monarch and marginally so on Emperor.

They didn't. My tech steals were opportunistic only. I had to keep teching myself to actually get what I really wanted. I looked at what they had when deciding what I was going to research - I didn't have to double up during the late game.
