Is it possible to remove a user-selected turn limit?

Hi all,

The guy who is hosting my non-RB pitboss game accidentally set a turn limit of like 120 turns...ideal for a cton, but not a Epic Speed pitboss

Is this something that can be edited out, like how we enabled Takeover AI in RBP1?

You can definitely do it with a command in the python console - I assume you can bring this up with SHIFT+~ (or SHIFT+@ in the UK) once you've entered the admin password.

I think the relevant command is GC.getGame().setMaxTurns(750)
(change 750 to the number of turns you want)

You presss Shift and the tilde key when ... in BTS after you entered game details and your admin password?

Do I need to add the cheat word in the civini file first?

I'm the person that Sunrise is referring to ... the thing is I don't recall setting a turn timer limit.

my understanding is that you need the cheat word in the ini file. Then '~' will bring up the console. You might need the admin password for that to work in a MP game ... I have only used it in a SP game.

Yes, that's the way to do it. However, I can't get it to work in an MP game now (even with the MP password).
If all else fails, you could just continue the game after someone wins a time victory.

I placed chipotle in the civ ini file in BTS directory

I connected the game in question ... multiplayer game

I entered the admin password from game options

I then tried shift ~ ....

Nothing happened


We'll just play on.

It should be possible to make a "mod" that fixes this.
