All the games I posted are on patch 3.19 or whatever the latest Beyond the Sword patch. I have heard that beating Deity is easier on Warlords

Yeah... it's me again

So after seeing some Youtube videos, I decided to adjust my plan from a drafted rifle attack to a Lib -> Mil Trad move with an attack with Curassiers.

I changed to Pericles, but after several games of just being sick of his crap starting techs, I changed to unrestricted leaders and took Egypt as a civ.

Plains hill start, with gold, wheat and a marble. Good but not uber-good. Standard opening. I lucked out that I am on the edge of the panagea, and border only Mansa Musa.

I got plenty of fail gold from Parthenon, and completed Great Library in 675BC. I got Music and lost the Mausoleum by 1 stinkin turn.

Barbs were a definite problem. I managed to get War Chariots and copper online in time to beat them back and it worked out good as I was able to capture 2 barb cities. I 'd it up and missed out on a 3rd, knocking the defenders down to 1 guy and let Mansa take it, even though it is way in my territory (stupid Deity maintenance cheats)

I got Lib -> Mil Trad, built the Taj and am currently in the middle of a double golden age (Taj + 2-man).

I am building up Curassiers but I don't know if I should bother attacking Mansa. I can take Polynesian which is a decent city, and Rhodes will fall on T1, but I'll probably need to raze it. Similarly Mycenae and Navajo will be choked by Sury (of Japan)'s culture.

The good thing is I have a huge EP lead on Mansa so I have city visibility on his cities.

Tech-wise, it's looking good



Athens has the Pyramids, SoZ, Parthenon and Chichen Itza. Sury looks like he might be going culture.

I had revolted to Caste to try and get a merchant or two out to upgrade some HAs / power to rifling. By this time I might even be able to upgrade to Cavs! Current military is only 6 Curs + 6 HAs, though as you can see I'm building Curs.

Julius and Qin both declared war on me but it's fake - I bribed Mansa to attack Qin and Genghis to attack Julius. Sury is Friendly and Mansa is Pleased.

Anyways this is where I'm at right now. We'll see if I manage to blow it
