A couple of turns ago I got a great merchant spawn instead of a great artist. I'm sending him to a trade mission in Barad Dur, and unless Ranamar completes the UN next turn, I will gift the profit to Commodore, so that he can rush-buy UN
This is somewhat controversial, because given the UN race agreement, I'm basically gifting the victory to another player. However, I think it's justified. I don't have a chance to win myself, and I'd rather see a player who was friendly towards us the whole game win it
So, unless you lurkers tell me why I shouldn't do it, and Ranamar doesn't finish the UN next turn, it's going to happen
PS Should Commodore win, I won't say it's an undeserved victory. He never gave up, kept looking for ways to win, and somehow managed to convince Ranamar to agree to the UN race. To me, it's a diplomatic miracle, and if he manages to pull off a diplo victory out of the scenario we were in, it will be fully deserved
Although I have no idea why Ranamar agreed
