Thanks for the tips guys. Not surprised HRE and France had the most issues, those were the best starts naturally, so I didn't edit them as heavily as the others.
I'm comfortable with the water situation. If one of the players puts enough effort into gaining the proper cultural control to boat one of the other players thats a: a strategic choice and b: counterable by the other player. The intention all along was that all the players have plenty of danger of being boated come Astronomy. I tried to make this as dangerous a map as their initial instructions would allow, while still maintaining the ability to play builder if your diplo is tight. If anyone can come up with a reason for me to adjust something because that part of the game isn't fair, I definitely want to change it however. I'll feel a lot worse about making someone significantly less defensible than the others than I will by missing a grain resource somewhere.
Onto the other changes...
Yuri got his wheat irrigated, and upgraded the area around his capital very slightly. I slipped jungled gems in, and gave him some jungled banana that could eventually boost food at that site. I made a couple other minor edits, and here's the result:
MNG I added a gold in the north and also gave him a wines and dyes tile. Fixed some of the oversights and overall just did a general cast of Vitalize on his tiles. Also changed his clams to crabs, as I intended for each player to be missing one seafood. This is also a more complete picture of his lands.
Commodore I also vitalized a bit. I lengthened his capital river and irrigated his wheat, and added in the missing coal. Gave him a couple more seafood bonii as well. I took away his close gold but left the one at the very end of his blob. I gave him an extra sugar and jungled phant to compensate.
I made no changes to GES because that seemed okay.
Ranamar I added Spices and a second Gems in the north.
And here's the updated file. Comments, as always, appreciated.
