OK then Since Turkey is now in anarchy, I thought I might as well read the lurker thread. Good stuff guys, love the discussion. It's no surprise this thread has "died" though, as people pretty much stopped playing some weeks ago. Might be because people are busy, like atleast myself, Gaspar, TT and Commodore were. Or it could be what Bob said in the organization thread, that people just didn't find Diplomacy very fun. That's a risk in a newbie's game.
To answer some questions.. I went Bul > Ser because I was 100% convinced that Sciz will go to Greece, which he did, regardless of me trying to talk him out of it. Unfortunately I didn't get Serbia either, but atleast there was a chance. My latest plan, a turn or two after people stopped playing, was to stab Russia. I was convinced we would lose the war due to not being able to communicate. If I could catch him for a chat before the turn ends, I would have asked for Serbia and him to delete that "useless" Sev fleet. Then I would get two builds, one which would be a fleet in Ankara to take BLA. Didn't really think it past that though, because that's around the time I realised I was the only one still actually playing and Diplomacy is not a fun singleplayer experience
Diplomacy is a great game and I had alot of fun. I recommend trying it out if you enjoyed following this game!
