Map Creation Programs

Just curious as to which map creation program(s) are preferred by folks here? Surely the World Builder isn't the way to go, but what's the consensus on the most useful and user-friendly program(s) to use, if any? I'm thinking of doing a bit of random tinkering with map creation, and just wondering what the folks at RB recommend to get the job done. smile

As far as I know there aren't any all around good tools available. Everything is more or less clumsy.

Nevertheless I usually use standard map script output as the starting point. Then I use Mapview for rough editing e.g. copy/paste and use Worldbuilder and notepad for fine tuning.
