Can I see a screenie with resource indicators on, by chance? Looking at it right now, your only "food resources" in range are two FP and that is a Very Bad Thing...

Hmm, trying to fix the last shot, that is the city founding with resources on. I do have a deer resource on the river tile 1 NW of the settler there. Still waiting to get the save but it looks like things are going to roll over past my time slot even, don't know what happened. Hopefully I get it before bed otherwise the game might have to wait while I am at work tomorrow

Looking to be some mighty fertile land around these parts. I believe I was too hasty settling my capital though, too stuck on getting the game going and not working on the best strategy. Oh well, I'll just keep trudging along. Sure there are plenty more sub-optimal moves to be made

Yeah, I agree, 2 to the right of your current cap would of made a killer capital, but you do have Deer/Furs which are both forested, so perhaps your main advantage will be a few hammers made.

Holy Rome is Hunting/Mysticism, so after Mining -> BW you might want to go Fishing. 1N of the Corn looks like a great spot if you're going to whip a lot or want to run specialists there: Fish is 5 food with 6 after a Lighthouse, Crabs is 4 with 5 after and Corn is 5 with 6 when we irrigate it, so the food surplus will be insane for either. 1S of the Dye also looks like a cool location.

Mining finished two turns ago, BW is now only 7 turns away!

Found Ludd's warrior while mine was moving to the northeast, but my warrior is inside of his and is beating a hasty retreat back to my capital just to be sure. Worker moved to the dear tile 1NW of my capital to get that going, and I am working max food (Floodplain 1NE of cap) while building a second warrior.

I thought I had taken some nice screenshots of all of this, but sadly my program failed me and somehow did not capture the CIV interface. I'll be sure to post some up of the next round and progress of the HRE

Ah, I host them from my dropbox account and had rearranged some folders. Should be back now. No updates because I have just been terribly busy, and with the game going at a screaming 2-3 turns a day pace it is all I can do to keep up with my plans on my own without posting my micro pictures and write-ups
