[Spoilers] Commodore as Washington of the Mongols

If two cities will pass the threshold on the same turn, whichever is the "earlier" city (you can check in the domestic advisor, or the trade screen, or by paging through your cities starting from the capital) produces its GP first. Then the gpp needed is increased. At this point you're past 10, right? So the threshold increases by 134 so it's pretty unlikely you can finagle two in the same turn.

Cool, thanks. I actually can pop to that threshold. 23 artists, 23*3*2 (Pacifism) +2 (Moai)= 140, so I might be able to swing both popping out at the same time. Thanks for the explanation, Seven.

This is what i failed at trying to say.

Good luck Commodore. I'm very impressed that you've managed to turn a nigh-impossible situation in a game into one where you might well have won without a NAP-stab. Good job.

Turn 160, progress to victory, ~70%. Also, the high water mark of our cultural attempt.

I'd like to say that with three times as many canon (six slammed into the super-stack) I'd have been able to at least kill off the tanks and cavs, by and large, but as it is, see this damaged stack? I killed two marines and two tanks out of it.

Oh, I guess defensively I killed one more marine.

And then the game decided to poop on my head a bit, by giving my a prophet in Mermaid (thanks to the blockade all citizens became specialists). That's....just depressing, really.

Could I have made it if Mackoti had invaded on turn 165? Well, assuming that the delay had allowed me to skew the Mermaid pool to an Artist...and that having 20+ canon over 6 would have blunted the two-movers at least...maybe? I guess we'll never know. I doubt that it would have been enough, but there was probably a chance in the teens or twenties. Alas, thanks to Mack the NAP breaker, we shall never know. alright
