Not sure if this is sarcasm. Looks like Financial is giving you 2.2 gold per turn which is pretty useless, but on the other hand you've chosen pretty much the worst case for it. (100% research.) So I wouldn't say you're making a valid point either way.

Good, because I was only half sarcastic. smile

Seriously though, with Sareln bumping the gold bonus to 25%, I think we've finally found a worthy replacement of the overpowered Financial trait. I'm pretty sure it would work in BtS as well, by giving the Financial leader half-priced Markets and Stock Exchanges.

The key is Festivals. With cheap Markets and strong Merchants you can expand much more aggressively. Its now a solid early game trait.
