Civ4 Epic in November?

I've preordered my Civ4 now, so I should get a few days and a weekend to get some games going before I prepare for the first Epic. thumbsup

I'm sorry to hear that T-Hawk. Hopefully you'll feel more up for Civ4 soon!

Griselda and I have settled on the tournament rules.

We may be as little as one week away from launch, give or take a couple of days. thumbsup

How do you know what to limit if you don't have the game yet ? If the answer is "I'm a beta tester.", then don't answer ! wink Or is it just standard rules that could be applied to any game, before we know more of this one ?

It seems Civ4 won't ship to Europe before November 4. I hope there will be enough time for us to try the game once or twice, before jumping into Epic1 in time... nod I don't want to join CFC's GOTM anymore, I much prefer to play here. thumbsup

There won't be anything to limit, at first. If and when imbalances or loopholes are discovered, we'll make the appropriate adjustments as needed.

Won't be a problem!

Will this be the game that rips me away from Magic Online? We'll see. Guild Wars was close, but wasn't quite up to the task. I didn't even realize Civ 4 was on the verge of coming out until I saw a blurb about it in Slashdot a few weeks ago, so I know very little about it save what I skimmed through on CFC and Apolyton (Amazingly, I was able to remember my login/pass for the forums on both sites).

I'll probably swing by Gamestop and pick this up whenever it comes in. I think I'm sufficiently over my Civ 3 burnout to give it a decent amount of attention (at least until finals start getting really close and my free time disappears). Looking forward to Epic 1.
