I didn't sandbox it but I think 1 defender should kill two demagoges, I should be fine if he doesn't bring massive reinforcements... I can however attack him due to fireballs and my fast reinforcements.

Well starting with poor settling decisions, poor judgment in settling additional cities or bringing culture to them, I've made a great deal of mistakes.

But I've learned a lot and "we'll just chalk this up as a learning experience."
