Despite the fact that the competitive real-time civ mp scene is not what it once was, some of the remaining players are playing in a "ccc" (civ clan championship) this weekend.
I plan to play if and when I can, largely for nostalgia's sake as I'm badly out of practice...and that from my mediocre peak form.
However since this is a smaller and slightly more casual event, and since no advance signups are required, I wondered if any RB players wanted to join me for any of the team events.
The first three events were today, but my work schedule kept me away. Here's the schedule for Saturday. Sunday events are based on qualifying on Friday+Saturday, but since turnout is low it's possible simply playing a single event could qualify you.
Event 4 - Industrial (3 players) - Saturday 0500 EST - 1000 CET
Event 5 - Ironman (solo full-length game) - Saturday 0800 EST - 1300 CET
Event 6 - Renaissance (3 players) - Saturday 0900 EST - 1400 CET
Event 7 - Random Era (2 players) - Saturday 1200 EST - 1700 CET
Event 8 - Ancient (2 players) - Saturday at 1300 EST - 1800 CET
Event 9 - CTON - Saturday 1530 EST - 2030 CET
Event 10 - Classical (3 players) - Saturday 1800 EST - 2300 CET
Keep in mind we're likely to get destroyed by the Russian and French ladder players who have continued to play competitively and ignored civ5. Finally, I think all players need to be signed up to the civ ladder (free, http://www.civplayers.com/index.php?section=home) prior to the start of each event.
