So, turns out I forgot about Nationhood. ![banghead banghead](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif) Maces aren't the best thing to draft at this stage, but anything is better then nothing. It's also something we can get very soon.
So, it looks like I favor Nationalism again after all. ![twirl twirl](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/twirl.gif) Engineering is useful, but unless we particularly need pikes or road movement right now we can probably put it off. Taj would be very nice, assuming we don't get beaten to it by Smack's GE (and it's possible if Smack also research Nat ASAP), and Nationhood lets me start drafting. If we going to be beaten to Taj though, then Nationalism isn't as good for us, for obvious reasons.
Since I can switch in and out of Nationhood easily, Rifles are probably the best renaissance unit for me. Since Military Tradition is only a single tech after that (well, and Music...), I'm thinking we should focus on Cuirs/Cavs/Rifles and delay Cannons unless we need them to crack a city. That's what I'm thinking for military anyway.

Um.. help?
HAK moves a stack of 20 units into view, while I have... 4 units in the city.
OTOH, aside from those Longbows, he has nothing over 5 strength that can kill. Will that be enough despite having 7 cats? I dunno... I'm pretty sure I can have 12 units in there by the time the stack can attack, which includes 2 LBows and 3 Maces, and he has only 13 units that can kill in the first place.
Guess I won't be switching to Pacifism again anytime soon. ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) Time to whip some stuff out. Sadly this attack came a little too early before I had some Knights out, they would totally cream this stack. An interesting way to start T100.

Run half a dozen sims, and the city has only fallen once, so I'm pretty sure I can hold. His lack of units that can kill is his downfall, it often ends with me having only 1 or 2 red lined units left when he runs out of attackers. Obviously he might be able to add more units before the stack reaches me, but since he hasn't roaded the jungle hill tile that his units are on to reach me quicker (why not?, he could've hidden his stack for a additional turn and taken the city for sure...), he can only add more chariots if they move there next turn. Since he's shown 3 chariots already I don't think he has any more, but who knows?
If he fails, then he's almost certainly run out of cats and I can put 2 LBows, a Knight and whatever CPH whips in there the turn after, so it shouldn't fall after that. Sadly I don't think I can really kill anything he doesn't throw at me, so after he sees my garrison he'll almost certainly retreat back where I can't reach him.

So we screwed up and forgot about T100. ![smoke smoke](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smoke.gif) In-game is just a bit hectic right now, with lots going on. Will fill you in once I find the time to.

HAK bombed the city while adding another LBow and cat. Well ok then, I'll definitely be able to add enough units to ensure that they can't take the city next turn. If they decide to go for it anyway, 8 cats are still pretty dangerous, but we should be able to add at least 3 Knights into that city next turn. Still a bit risky, but we should still hold. If they decide to spend another turn bombarding, we should be able to hit that stack with some Knights and really cripple that stack, since they don't have anything to defend against Knights.

Fucking hell. I didn't notice that my research wasn't at 100% when I ended turn. So we were 11 beakers short on engineering after my turn. I'm sorry, that's my mistake.

Well that's 4 bad things that've recently happened to me now. How long until the next one strikes?
I can handle 1 or 2, but this is too much.

I opened the game to look around and see what was going on without touching anything outside of the demos screens but got to the diplomacy screen when playing as HC. I'm assuming that trade from Gandhi was supposed to go through so I accepted it (why can't you delay diplo requests like that?) so I just wanted to let you know that happened.
As for the game itself... so how long until mack-Seven win the game

Yeah that's fine.
As for the second question, as long as LAM think they have a chance I guess.

4H invaded me again. Gee, I do seem to be attacked a lot don't I? Fun.
Even though they made up for their weakness last time and bought approximately a gazillion units, they haven't promoted any of them. And they only have 5 (unpromoted) pikes to counter my Knights. As much as I want to attack now and then have nothing to do with this game aside from waiting to die, I won't be able to do anything with them after attacking, and there's a good chance that I'll be able to hit them harder if I retreat (I highly doubt they'll promote until they need to) so that's what I'll be doing.
I will, of course, lose both the city and the pleasure of killing something (something I have yet to feel in this game) but at this point I don't care about the former and I'm hoping to have a better shot at the latter. Meanwhile time to flip to Nationhood and get a ton of muskets every turn. Maybe I could die soon and get rid of this game.

On the bright side, I did get a GA. That means I can give Shoot another GA. For whatever good that's worth.
