You have to understand. He's a lot like me. If he makes like 3 mistakes the whole game, it's a *poorly played game*

Setting your expectations high is a *good* thing, bur some of us have to watch that we don't set them *too* high.

Well it sounds like you are ahead of me -- I still don't understand that much about cottages, and don't understand when to use them vs irrigating. I still generally prefer irrigation where possible.

I think you played your game well -- you ended up essentially dominating the world, and took out the powerful Americans.

Todd knows me, I border on perfectionist, but I would say its a common trait to most (old school) RB players

Very quickly reading some other reports though I think my opening was quite good (getting religion just like Todd, settling towards Aztecs like Speaker, etc...) but then thats usually my strength, it allowed me to compensate for the mistakes made in mid-game economic management and the total non-sense of the end game where I always hesitated between Domination, Diplo and Space and tried all 3 and thus was much slower than the best games here.

Well done, Sky !! At least you played better than me, since I lost. But I'm no reference at this stage... You can't learn everything at once, especially in a huge game like Civ4. But you did things good here, especially the warring and the diplomatic affairs. You'll have time to learn the economical part of the game later, don't worry. And I agree the Diplo win is weird, I think it sucks (should be forgotten).
