I think the only problem with it is that every time I ask people when they could actually make them, the response I usually get is "my gaming time is completely random so I can't make any commitments." We had a Friday challenge night thing going for a bit, but it never attracted more than 2-3 people each time it rolled around, so it fizzled out.

Well then... if that's how it is at the moment, that's what we should go with. If we're having trouble getting people to commit to a night, I think we'll be hard pressesd to get a regular group for 4 day/week "drilling", so to speak. From that... despite the fact that many of us have trouble with committing to a time, I have almost always seen ~4+ people logged in during this week whenever I was on. Despite that, I never once heard "anyone want to give TA a shot"? In all actuality, I don't think I've heard *any* member suggest we team up for some PvP of any sort in any game (although I recently fought Xyn in RA purely by chance!).

I think the solution is a lot easier than it's being made out to be -- when people are around, let's just see what we can do! smile The way I figure it, if we just *do* it, the people who enjoy it will make/find time to schedule these things. If we get decent, then we can worry about more organized stuff (HoH, etc).

True. Another reason why we might just be better with "going with the flow", getting more involved with PvP when people just happen to be around. As we get more involved (and, well... better, I'd hope tongue), I have to think that some structure might form on its own, especially if we do a little "recruiting".

Ok, so if I threw out the general times of 04:00 GMT Thursdays* and 19:00 GMT Fridays, that could work for people?

GMT conversions:
04:00 Thursday* = 5pm GMT +13 (New Zealand Time) 5am GMT+1 (GG/(Havral?) Time), 11pm GMT -5 (EST), 8pm GMT -8 (PST)
19:00 Friday = 6am Saturday NZT, 8pm GGT, 2pm EST, 11am PST
*Because of the time difference, this would actually be Wednesday night in the US

If I made any errors on time changes, then... oops.

edit: After a bit of thinking, 11pm EST is a bit late to start on Weds... Instead, how about an hour earlier, making it 10?

The Wed/Thurs time is very doable for me. Fridays I'm at work at that time. So... I'll at least show for the Wed/Thurs time. Can't stay for more than 1-2 hours if I want to be concious at work, but it's something.

I was just thinking that probably the most humorous part about all of this is that when Soul Flayer decided to stop playing regularly, Roland started and Mentat came back. A while later he stops and now Zedd is back (somewhat) full-time. That's 4 people right there. If you take into account Xyn, Fox, GG and myself, who have been the people staying around for a while who also do PvP (yes, there are also others, but the people I mentioned are the ones who have actually expressed interest when someone suggests PvP over guild chat), that's 8. If we could have actually gotten everyone together, we could have been doing GvG or HA. Maybe we still could, I don't know. I'll try to get in touch with some of the people that have faded away in an attempt to see if any interest is still there.
