[SPOILERS] Parkin brings the rain down in Africa: Churchill of Zulu

Ah well, I'm sad to see the game end as I would have loved to see what actually happened, but it was a really good experience for me. I learned quite a bit, and hopefully my future games will be even better as a result. Big thanks to Old Harry for his advice and dedlurking, and another big thanks to everyone else (GJ, Xenu, et al) who chimed in with answers to technical questions.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

Yeah, I fully expected either mack or Seven to pound him given he was the low-hanging fruit. There's still a chance I'll outlast him, though. I haven't given up yet! smoke

Why do you think I was a low-hanging fruit? Because of the scoreboard? I had the same land military units as you and wetbandit, my power was similar to both of yours'. Ofc, I couldnt defend my coastal cities, so I was trying to transmit to Mack & Seven something like that: "Sure, you can take my coast, but you need to come inland and face my 50+ cannon stack to make use of the coast."

I would say that I was a fruit hanging at more-or-less the same level, but less juicy one smile

I was consediring atacking haram but as he said he had so much siege and not like grimace wich had like 10 canons and several cats, and even worse the land towards me was so bad that didnt worth the efort to take it,while grimace land was from my point second best strt area after what Gawdzak got.

Haram, it doesn't have anything to with being low-hanging fruit, just that you were involved with a few wars in the mid to late game which makes you vulnerable to a dogpile. I, of course, had no idea that you had that much siege.

Eh, with the military force that mack brought, it wouldn't matter too much either way.

Haram, the reason I said you were low-hanging fruit was for two reasons.
1) You were behind me on military techs...I had oil an and oil-powered navy, even if it wasn't too big. That didn't help during the initial invasion, but allowed me to get in my one solid shot against mack by taking out almost an entire stack of ships, and also kept you from getting frisky with your stack of frigates and galleons once mack hit me. I also had machine guns, but again they're not terribly helpful against tanks, though they did damage some of his airships.
2) Your territory was narrower, meaning a narrower front, which allows an attacker to keep his forces more concentrated. Makes it easier for you to defend as well, but against mack's tech advantage it was a moot point, to be honest. Without bombers, anti-tanks, or at least infantry, tanks just smash through defenses.

Of course we were both the easy target, but given the tech level disparity I think going after you would have been safer. There was also my off-continent cities which would have required even more effort to conquer and would extend the length of the war, making him accumulate more war weariness. Once mack got tanks and Seven got flight, though, I knew the game was over for both of us once one of them got around to attacking.

Never underestimate the power of siege, even tanks with siege can be leveled to the cavalry level, you just need hordes and he had, and he kept his very good positionated, i made plans how i could atack those but were very well
protected.
