Edit: I think the point was that someone already had a sock puppet account created, then PB16 ended, we had our community witch hunt to burn all the smurfs, and so this account has just been awaiting a use. Fast forward to the present day with an item of moderate newsworthiness for our site. Someone chose to post the news item under the smurf account just to be funny. I think the avatar picture is one of the characters from Anchorman, which is the tie in to linking to a news piece. I didn't see that at first in the test forum, hence my post over there asking what the smurfitude was all about. In summary, it's a first order mountain(molehill). Edit2: Or maybe there really is a guy named Rex Murphy in Canada. This is something I didn't know. But he still looks like a guy from Anchorman to me.
