[Spoilers] PBEM 63 - Ichabod's Thread, feat. a big crew

Sorry to hear you were so miserable, Ichabod... I was pretty frustrated near the end too, I felt like there was nothing I could do. At least our border got a little less tense near the end. alright

Hey Ichabod, did you have a follow-up to that Knight force at the end? I didn't have quite enough to retake Coventry the turn after you took it, but had just left you the one Knight in the city, so if there was no backup it would have fallen again.

I agree that inventive naming schemes lose something when no-one can read them! frown

I had some ~10 more knights in the fog, I think (perhaps less?), near the other captured english city. I didn't expect to make any progress against you, only to reclaim my lost pride by taking Coventry back. But I got a bit unlucky with the rolls (not that I was that well prepared on the first place, so losing some high odds battles hurt) and even that became difficult.

On the long run, I'd probably get plastered. My demos sucked compared to everyone else. My strategy going forward was based on being a good boy against Seven and TBS so that they'd kill me last (2nd place, woohoo!). lol

Hmmm, I might have had trouble with that ... at least with retaking Coventry; I don't think that Rack was in too much danger - although I'd basically shut off production for the past few turns to try to catch up on tech (still didn't have my own Knights shhh).

I was thinking after Seven's pm that maybe we should have just ignored their overwhelming dominance and just had our own little war to keep the game interesting....

Yeah, I was kind of operating the same way (though I did grab Optics after I saw the first Frigate).

BTW, getting plastered where I come from is usually used to refer to getting drunk, rather than beaten up. Which I guess is also a valid option! shades
