Defensive terrain?

Is there any terrain that gives defense bonuses on the battle map? Besides city fortifications. It doesn't matter if you're on a hill, road, or plains, right?

no. if terrain have road, it have road on a battlemap. if its hill or mountain then more mountains are on the battlemap.
This hills on battlemap have battle effects: it gives the possibility to not lose battle if you have not swift enough units: for example, spearmen vs pikemen have a chance to wait 50 turn and exhausted, instead of flee from battle. Also, "earth to mud" do not work on hills, mountains in the battlemap.
Also, the terrain in the node halo gets the node aura bonuses (+2 to stat to the same realm units in the combat).

Yeah, that's what I thought. Defending on a hill or any other terrain doesn't give any advantages on the battle screen.

There's a bug with invisible city walls during non-city fights (the 4x4 area that would be a city acts like a city with destroyed walls), but that's not terrain per se.
