[SPOILERS] It's a Whole New World

Just out of curiosity: how do you determine, whether a spot is "his or yours"? Distance to Capital, I suppose? Are you sure this city placement of his is actually aggression towards you?

Horses on "our" PB maps are usually not "everybody has a source of his own"-type commodities (like Copper). I do not know exactly, how they have been distributed on this map, of course, but with most resources it is rather normal that they are placed in "contestible" spots. Are you sure you don't have easier access to Horses in your NE or NW? I mean, he left you space for one more city between his one and the one you already have in "his corner". I just don't quite understand your rationale for going to war over this, I am afraid. Care to enlighten me? Thanks in advance!

Well if not everyone has horses all the more reason to do this imo. It's his 2nd city spot and it's a decent amount of distance from his capital. It's also because he has a lot of area to the south of the chokepoint he can expand too so I'd rather just take this spot. Also regardless of that it's also a very aggressive 2nd city spot. If it was like his 3rd or 4th city it would be more understandable but right now it's a little exposed.

Also if Horses are not super evenly distributed then it's very important I secure a source. Regardless

But from his point of view it is worth a try. If you anger yourself but don't do anything he has a great spot. And I would say that unexperienced players wouldn't answer the founding.

Yeah that's very true. He's also acting very defensively like moving a warrior up against my border to see if anything is incoming along with threatening my warrior with an axe once it moved up against his borders. This is good for me actually since it removes the fortification bonus which will definitly play a role later.

How's the situation now? Based on the last screenshot, your troops should now be standing on the "x" due west of Vienna. What does the opposition look like?

Sorry for the lack of reporting. Idk this game just seems to have lost my interest sorry about that.

He had 3 axemen in the city and I had 6 axemen. First one lost flawlessly so now I'm waiting for 2 more axes to arrive since I desperately needed the first axe to atleast do some damage.

How long does it take to get these extra axes there?

Hello BaII,

wahl-profi has asked those of us Civforum Readers who keep track of the PB88-Stories over at RB as well to kindly ask you if it is possible for you to try and finish your moves in the first half of the turns.

I am not sure whether this subject has come up during the discussions prior to the game, but over at Civforum it is indeed customary to use the first 24 hours of a turn if you are 1st player up in a war. The other player then has the second 24 hours to make his moves. Of course there can always be Real Life issues coming up which prevent someone from completing their turn in time, however, which is what I suppose happened a couple of times during the last turns, right? What we usually do in situations like these is to inform the game referee (Lord of the Civ) about any such occurrences, so that he can then communicate to the other player in which window of time he can probably play his turn.

Thanks!
