Hi, I'm new, and I played Adventure 6.
Short version: Tried to get a Cultural Win, decided in between to go for the spaceship, then refocused on the culture, and in the end got a diplomacy win in 2012.
If this sounds confusing, this is because I am confused myself .
It could have been a much earlier diplomacy win, had I went for the UN earlier. Also, the culture win was in reach (also could have been done earlier). All in all, not a very good game, which was actually a little bit boring after I had wiped out Montezuma and Tokugawa, but it was fun to take part in this Adventure.
Long version: http://rw4.cs.uni-sb.de/~phlucas/RB/Adv06/ .
I look forward to all your comments, regarding playing style and report style.

Ooh, 2520BC Hinduism. I haven't looked at the other reports yet, but that seems pretty late. And you had a religion while Monty didn't have one! How crazy is that?
For some reason, I think Toku likes to build the Great Lighthouse. At least, I've noticed him building it in a disproportionate number of games. Of course, it benefits him less than any other AI in the game, so I don't know what's up with that!
I think you had room to found a lot more than 3 cities, even with your ability to take away cities from the AI civs. Lot of tiles going to waste there (such as between Persepolis and Pasargadae), something to keep in mind for future games.
I agree that you don't send enough soldiers to war. One thing to consider is that you can whip out more units with Slavery early on, or use the draft (Nationhood) civic late in the game for some space bodies to throw at the AI. And don't forget to build Heroic Epic for extra military production too!

No worries there, mate.
That GNP stat from ~1800AD is a little scary. The AIs were producing a lot more commerce than you were. Maybe think about some more cottages (?)
A shot of the voting screen (who voted for who, and with how many votes) would have been nice to see. Your statistics page at the end was a great summary.
This is a very good report here. Thanks for sharing it with us! Just think how much better you'll do once you decide from the very beginning what victory type to pursue!

Yes, I did not expand enough in the early game. Even Arbela should have been founded earlier.

I did build the HE (I built all possible national wonders.); IIRC, in the city of the Iron Works. And yes, I used the whip in the first war against the Japanese and drafting in the second war against them, but not in the wars against Montezuma. I will definitely keep this in mind for future wars; especially drafting is extremely useful.
Thanks for reading and commeting!

Hi,
nice game, and good report! Congrats on the victory, even if that hadn't been the one you originally wanted.
I wondered about your city placement as well. Founding your second city two tiles east from the spot you had founded it would have given you a real powerhouse: Three resources, three hills, lots of tiles to farm or put cottages on, and less distance to the capital and less tiles wasted! It would have been land-locked, though.
But in the end you won, and without having a lot of trouble as well it seems, and that is all that matters...

What? one tile off the coast? Heresy!
phlucas, I'm guessing from all the bells and whistles in your HTML that you have an attitude similar to mine (in fact, I'm stealing your validator link for my future reports). So with that spirit in mind, I point out that "ad[v]" will trip a bunch of adblockers, and shuts out your images.

Huh? I never thought of that. Thanks for mentioning. OK, it's now http://rw4.cs.uni-sb.de/~phlucas/RB/A06/ (the old Adv06 still works).
As for placing Pasargadae, this was before I knew that I would... acquire... other cities at the western ocean. In hindsight, 6-6 would have been better.
