Echolocation was obviously an overreach. I was going for check as the fourth: you send out a ping to check for obstacles, enemies, food, etc. Spot is more visual for me, and bats are famous for their poor eyesight. I didn't even see superhero, but that meant a wasted turn just to keep us in the game. After that, deposit was a desperate try for a lucky win. Sorry, team, better luck next time.

GG!
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Starting turn 2 with four words revealed, I was thinking to get the two most distant words out of the way so that I could get the three that had a tie--LINE, CAR, and PRESS--in turn 3. And I was fairly confident we'd get a turn 4 since blue got close to the assassin.

Although, the Continental clue was meant for CAR, not PLATE. The Lincoln Continental was what I was going for. I thought it was a well-known enough model of car (it's even name-checked in the song Bad Bad Leroy Brown). My original plan was then to link TOWER, SPOT, and LINE with Surveillance 3 and then HEART-PRESS-PLATE with Resuscitate 3. But I wasn't too attached to that plan since I thought this game might go more than three turns.

Picking BOX was the biggest misstep. I probably should have gone with Cellular instead of Cell.

And with the last clue, yes Pump connects to both PRESS and HEART, but I didn't want to give a three-clue because I wanted you to go back to your previous guesses for Cell and Assembly. I didn't care which one you thought was which, so long as you hit the right three.

Good game team!

Whew! Sorry for getting a little frustrated there. I was really flummoxed by the results for Box and Teacher, confused by our last clue only being a (2), and would have run straight into the assassin had I been on Blue.

Yep, I was worried that our last clue meant that one of our words shouldn't have anything to do with Pump, but I couldn't square that with any of our earlier clues. A tough board. Good game, everyone!
