Who got Warlords for Christmas?

I already had Warlords, but Santa brought me Sid Meier's Railroads. Not played any of the previous railroad games but always wanted a model railway when I was a kid .

Excellent! I did some tinkering with Railroads! when it was in beta stage. Don't get sucked in by the negativity you hear about the game online; it has some serious flaws, but it's quite fun to play as a light (non-hardcore) strategy game.

I got Railroads, too. I also got a beta invite, but decided that sometimes it's nice to play a game in its more polished released version. I must say that it seems like we are lucky to have gotten the game after the patch, as I noticed a huge performance increase in the patched verison vs. the boxed one.

I am enjoying it so far. Right now, it's just about perfect for me, as the scenarios are relatively short and I can play it casually and have fun. I don't have the time or the brainpower for anything more strenuous at the moment, but I am having fun building my rail empire.
