Epic Nineteen: Results

By general consensus, I used the "normal" GNP numbers rather than the cheesed ones, wherever both were provided. The land and GNP figures for the first (10AD) scoring benchmark were very close in both cases, with a mere 27 tiles separating first from fourth in land area! By 1500 AD, things were spaced out quite a bit more. Also of interest, every single player scored a 10 point first place finish in at least one category, except for mostly_harmless - and he had three different second-place results! Very neat stuff, everyone.

I hope you all had fun, and find the results useful in terms of comparing notes.

Reviewing the charts confirmed my fear with the wipe Monty plan. So much effort went into early troops that my land and GNP numbers were horrid. Although the move made winning the game easy, it ensured losing the competition.

Hey, at least you weren't so foolish as to remove yourself from some of the score categories completely

Too bad we didn't have more turnout for this one - I would have liked to see the strategies involved in making sure you came up a handful of tiles short of domination in 1500AD for land area score.
