There wasn't really anything special about the setup for this map. I rolled a number of starts until I got one that looked interesting, that was all. I did add a copper resource to the northwest of the player's start, because there was none anywhere in the vicinity initially. It looked like the horses at the start (which were there naturally) factored into most people's games more.
Funny how starting with two entire ERAs of extra techs didn't really seem to help the AIs very much. If anything, it clearly hurt them in some games, as they did excess wonder building instead of expansion. Either that, or you guys have gotten really, really good at overcoming tech holes.
