Thanks for sharing and glad to read it. I also expected slow research, but it really only took a handful of Pyramids specialists to push research faster than a normal game. Yes, it played similarly to the other mod. In part because it was the same civ with a similar map and neighbors. But the mod mechanics played out the same way, with overly large cities. Perhaps the lesson is just that specialists can do everything. It's also surprising that Civilization remains fully playable even with such a screwjob applied to the most basic mechanic.
