I didn't have a real plan prepared for this game, so I just fired up the save and got playing!

Scout reports "road to nowhere". Scout is reprimanded for wasting his commanding officer's time, and is advised to lower his consumption of previously mentioned hallucinogens.

Around this time I started to feel the strain of playing the game on Normal Speed. Strange really, because that's my preferred playing speed for BtS. But everything in FFH takes too damn long, so I much prefer quick. I didn't really take any notes, didn't really scout, and wasn't really paying attention to the other races.

Micro pain in the... :



I've already read a couple of reports, and people were mentioning the micro hassle once you get those forests running, and I concur. Instead of focussing on how to eliminate my goodly neighbours or building those Adepts, I found myself carefully grooming my land, planting nice little forests, followed by nice little cottages...

I think I killed Orthus too... Probably dropped an oak on him or something...

Cold war actually, I killed a Great Merchant Arendel tried to use in my lands, I think I sent a Hunter to harrass her a bit. He got killed.

Flood plain:



I think the only reason I took this screenshot was because I got pissed off when a Barb city appeared, turning a perfectly good floodplain into a desert. Don't you just hate it when that happens?

This is where I my memory fades when the autopilot kicked in. I'm not really sure what I was planning to do, but I can see I'm building more Settlers to fill the world with more green stuff.

Hey Illios,

Thanks for the report. You showed how tedious the Elves can be to MM but at the same time, if you can do that - how awesome their cities can become! The road to nowhere was a barb city I placed and then demolished since packs of warriors kept on coming pretty early!
