I'm getting excited about this game. I'm sure it won't be perfect, but I'm hoping against hope that it's good as it looks.

I am also looking forward to this one, although I am skeptical of some of the changes such as getting rid of time units. Firaxis is on probation with me as far as games based on classic franchises go.
There were some good interviews with the lead dev at Rock Paper Shotgun a while back.
Game Informer did a whole series of interviews including Sid, the lead designer, the sound guy, the graphics guy, etc etc.
