Adventure 52 - jaxian

So this is the first adventure I have ever run on RB (and also my first immortal game). I have been silent lurking for years but never felt my game was up to snuff to participate. Thanks for putting together a single player game that was accessible to the non-pros around.

I put this off till the end and only managed to finish last night but enjoyed it immensely. I would likely participate if you run more single player games and will try to do an actual write up next time.

Cultural victory in 1816 (first immortal win ever!) Never fell below 3000 EP. Traded for lots of techs. Didnt steal any.

I only managed to get to 6 cities but was friendly with mansa allowing me to keep pace with the rest in tech until I got gunpowder and then turned off and went full culture slider. Lucky enough to be able to join an early AI downpile to get tons of "mutual struggle" points without have to do much and then watch lots of AI wars without participating.

Could have done this much sooner but kept teching to muskets for fear of getting ganked. In hindsight, I probably could have turned off sooner and just pushed for the win.

Boudica was on the receiving end of the pile. Mansa, Cyrus, Toku and I were all Hindus and she pulled Buddha so it was inevitable. The war knocked her from first to last and made the diplo side of the game pretty easy going forward.

Mansa eventually switched to free religion and got taken down too but not until after he carried me up the tech tree
