It seems that the 50% reduction granted by Channeler doesn't apply to summoned creatures.
Is it supposed to be like this?

I was experimenting with Channeler + Conjurer, which should bring a cumulative 50% + 25% discount on maintenance, but apparently it's not the case.

In 1.31 the Channeler reduction is compounded, meaning you get a 62.5% reduction rather than 75%. Try summoning a big creature and see if this matches. I don't know if kyrub intended to change this, mind. It could be seen as a bug since other reductions are not compounded, ie. you can get 0 cost summons with Mastery + Conjurer + 13 books.

I tried Channeler alone, Conjurer alone, and Channeler + Conjurer. The only reduction happens with Conjurer. I think it's a bug.

Making it compound is ok, by the way.

Will look at it. Great find if true. I never intended any change in mechanics in Insecticide, so that would be a bug.

Channeler seems to work fine - the same as always - for me under 1.40n. I often enjoy picking both Channeler and Conjurer.

Doesn't work for me either.
War Bears and Nagas without Channeler 2mana/turn, War Bears and Nagas with Channeler 2mana/turn. Should be 1mana/turn.
Without Insect patch it doesn't work neither (GOG version).

Channeler doesn't show up on unit stats, it's resolved later. Check your actual mana income.

Ups, you're right. I wasn't aware of that. The mana income shows it's all fine.
