Well, the current proposal basically ignores everything they say and they're going to be mad as fuck about it. I just don't see a good option.

I vote we just raze Warendorf and Wilhelm, pop Wittenburg's borders to 2nd ring asap, and force them to settle their new on the column west of Witten. Why? Because it's a compromise. I want to keep WPC sorta happy for now.

Yes, WPC is dead in the long run. However, whoever takes WPC's cities are going to be vulnerable to Wittenburg's culture, and they'll be forced to raze the city, letting us push back out. I want to throw them a bone just to keep them off our backs and rational. Else they will come out of this furious and fully willing to conspire with anyone to drag us down. If they receive something, anything, they'll be satisfied and their players will happily aid us in winning the game.

I second T-Hawk and Nic, let's play nice with them. They did after all allow us to blitz through this war by getting their asses kicked by the main German army

Currently they are asking basically for five cities and we can't even possibly give them five cities (and we certainly wouldn't be willing to if we could). I am all for getting them happy if we see an opportunity, but I think the path to reaching that is drop their expectations down to near zero first. I believe if we try to appease them now (taking their desire for all cities in their half seriously), they will be forever unsatisfied, as we are not willing to give them near that.

They perceive us as nice if they see us give them more than we have to. Right now their calibration of what we have to do is incredibly far off and needs to be fixed before we can proceed with being nice in a productive way.

Any chance we could get a real poll to vote on this? This poll has lots of laughs and all, but with a number of "we're definitely doing X" statements thrown around I'd love to see an actual consensus.

Fortunately, it's impossible for us to give them 5 cities. That's a nice way to compromise. And if we're compromising, then a further compromise would be to raze the city asap, collapse cultural borders, and kiill that scary wellie stack threatening their valuable city of Huron.
