Probably not for single player mode. If you have 3 friends who grew up in the 80s and can stand the graphics, then yeah! If you set up 4 player game of M.U.L.E., there was nothing like it. I was playing on a Commodore 64 with two players on joysticks and the other two sharing the keyboard.

One of the ingenious elements of the game was the representation of a market and supply and demand as an arcade game. You decide whether you're buying or selling something and set a price by actually walking your guy up and down to a price point, and you can try to fake out people with what you're willing to offer, with a timer ticking down. And, e.g. if there are two sellers and two buyers of food, when the time is running out the market "race to the bottom" can be quite literal.

Or, you think someone is buying food or energy for need, but then they proceed to fully buy you out and the whole market, and gouge for it next turn, and you regret having given them so low a price... There are lots of elements like this and emergent gameplay, though if you just saw it at first it looks just like a pretty dumb and boring game and you'll probably just wonder what's the big deal.

There's a Planet M.U.L.E. website that looks like a free, multiplayer remake of the original... I've never played this either, but I'd be down to try it sometime because it looks pretty cool.
