code and bugfixing

Is there a tutorial to learn reading the source code of MoM and do bugfixing? I would like to learn it some day.

The source code of MoM probably no longer exists (while it might have been written in assembly, it could have been written in a higher level language then compiled; it looks plausible as output of a C compiler).

The source code for MoM was never available to the public, but Good Old Games (gog.com ) bought MoM and released a new version.
They should have the source code, but you'll prob have to be one of their software devs to get access to it.

I see no reason to assume that is true. GOG doesn't do development on their games, they simply run them under DOSbox.

Anthony,

GOG does a bit more then just running games under dosbox.
They buy all rights to the games, remove any DRM / copy protection, include patches, adapt them to work on several windows versions etc.
They don't only have games that ran on msdos, but also games that were made for windows 3.x, win 9x (and maybe later windows versions also).
Especially the removal of DRM / copy protection and adjusting the games to work with newer windows versions would be very hard without the source code.

In short, if someone still has the source code of MoM, it is GOG.
