Adventure Fifty-Nine: Dhal's Incomplete Game

Right, so I ended up not having the ability to write a comprehensive report or finish this game. I was in a dominant winning position by the end, and didn't really feel like the hours it would take to mop up.

So.

In total, I found ten Christmas trees.

This game was a lot of fun, but turns out I just don't have the patience for full reporting.

Interesting, and a bit of a contrast to my game as Egypt. You got the islands much earlier than I would have, and I got more land on the main continent, playing for settling forward and then backfilling later. I didn't take the forest wheat on the south coast until maybe 60 turns after you did! You also seem to be teching faster than I did, probably not crashing your econ as early. Did you build any wonders?

How you did you react to seeing that copper and horse were nowhere in site?

I think I landed Taj and Notre Dame, though I didn't get any early wonders. And yeah, I definitely didn't settle as aggressively forward as you did. That's probably part of what kept my economy going better than yours - I played very MP style, with lots of small cities packed together overlapping BFCs and sharing tiles to make sure cottages were being worked. Mostly I did that to practise MP mechanics.

I would have expected your approach to have been easier to win the game from, though. I had a LOT of cleaning up to do because some of my opponents were quite competitive on land.
