I just realized we're likely to have BRE as our only spot to place a build at the end of the year. I'm sure dtay is going to be overjoyed to see another fleet

Fine with me; EF is always an alliance of convenience.

Other possibility is that, or we win the WIFOM challenge with Mattimeo in Paris. Because if he does order Bur-Par and we order Pic-Par, the units bounce and Par is open.

I'm leaning towards if going Bre-Pic, assuming that Pic-Par does happen. That's the safe play; guaranteed to have precisely one spot open.

I'm also assuming that Mattimeo didn't successfully approach DTay. If he did, then it's going to be bad.

For the global lurkers: Mattimeo did offer that we switch back to FG. If it had been more than a turn since we'd declared EF, I think we'd have done it because tactically it worked out really nicely. But I didn't want a case of Chronic Backstabber Syndrome in 1902.

Note: MJW's price for supporting Bur - Mun is that I move Mun-Boh in 1904.

- Option 1:
Build F Mar and A Par. Move against Italy with Mar - Lyo, Mao - Wes, and Par - Bur + Bur - Mao. Needs English cooperation, and it will be slow to materialize against MJW (I threaten Tun, but won't take it).

- Option 2:
Build F Bre and A Par. Move against England. Definitely need TT support (not a concern).
Note: this can lead to a long-term 2-way draw with Italy if I can truly crush England AND MJW wins the Russo-Italian war. A 17-17 split is EASY with Italy:
I get EFG, Scandinavia and StP
He gets the rest.
And working with TT isn't too hard, either. If TT is winning the Russo-Italian war that's going to happen, then we're probably looking at a 3-way draw, and we'll see who's the biggest player in the end game.

- Option 3:
Stall for time with 2 army builds and stab no one.
That option doesn't sound good.

Also, both Option 1 and Option 2 are REALLY obvious from my builds. There is no way I can spin F Mar as anything but "Death to MJW", and I don't think DTay will be happy with a 2nd fleet build in Bre in 2 years. I haven't decided. TT is on board with either Option 1 or Option 2, for obvious reasons.
