Those Impis were obnoxious.
Heh, good game Cyneheard, and you're right, I'm nowhere close to being in the driver's seat aright. :dodgy: You did fine, I guess long grinding wars is kind of my specialty. I think my Great Wall-> Great Spy play was pretty important too.
Impis are wonderful. May I never be on the receiving end of them. :s

Ah, the joys of superior intelligence coupled with superior mobility.

Would you be able to defend if pingo/scooter/krill attacked you?
Or is it farmers gambit ATM?

Well, this is where it gets kind of silly. Able to defend, ie, stop a conquest? No for the behemoths of Krill or Pingo, yes for Scooter. But I'd hope to be able to unprofitably maul anyone who comes a knockin'. Pingo might, actually. Hum, I seem to be able to see into all their bases?
Sue me, I'm incorrigible. If they think about it, I'm actually using my Great Spy infiltration harmlessly against them, because my only reason is to steal delicious techs. I took Philo, next I'll clean out most of the remaining EPs with a Nationalism grab, and then Krill might be up for selling me Communism. Don't be mad, bros!
Finally, good events are good! Frontier gold rushes, man. Just like the real West Coast:

Oh, and I'm also resettling Interior Westros. King of the North I am, here's Commodore's Gift being settled by wildlings.
Pack 'em and stack 'em. Courthouse and ikhanda mean the break-even for a city is pretty easy to get.

He *is* trading.
He's just trading with a "five finger discount"

ImageKrill sold me Nationalism and Liberalism, actually, so that went well. I think I'll just get the lower-hanging fruit of drama and (probably soon) Music from them, then, as the 10k+ beaker Steam Power isn't affordable with 2k EPs. I offered something to Nakor for Steam Power, but now I'm considering perhaps trying for a race.
Great Scientist incoming soonishly.

You'll have to chortle in your joy if you manage to beat the research superpowers to the free GS. Do you know if anyone is researching it yet? And do you have a use for the GS in mind yet?

Good read Commodore and good reports as always. Learned a few things
1) Bad luck (and ) on losing your first settler to a barb.
2) Gaspar thinks I'm a douche
3) As you've probably seen from the lurker thread, you were 1t away from capturing the GLH when you took Blues Brothers from us
4) Nobody can spell Cincinnati (thanks DaveV for representing!)
We really were trying to be friendly with you in the mid to end game. There was talk of attacking you but we read it as you surmised - a lot of pain for not a lot of gain. The iron gift was nothing sneaky - we were trying to gift you some because you didn't have any and we had extras. The horse+iron "AI diplo" was us trying to get you to hit Yuri with us - we were trying to signal when the attack was with descending gpt amounts representing turns. Obviously that didn't work out so well and in the end, you were busy with Cyneheard and we ended up not needing your help anyways
