Swamplings wesnoth SG 3

Ok, not that action packed so I took us through to L40... but I am getting ahead of myself.

The situation having moved through the trap door is below:

Taking the village rewards us with this guy below and various waves of hostile giant rats

I then pushed round the map until I had Clammie level up which seemed a nice place to pass the save on.

OK, we have another minion. Not the most powerful and frightening one, perhaps, but we need all the help we can get. lol

With levels like this where there are lots of turns with minimal action happening, I think we can relax the usual 3 turn guidline for turnsets. Feel free to play until something interesting happens, or until we face a significant battle, etc. Otherwise we will have endless turnsets with nothing interesting happening. My set running around the castle with no fighting would have been 9 "regular" turnsets, which I think would have completely killed interest in the game. rolleye

OKay I only played 3 turns because we are fighting our way through rats for xp micro.

The Save

Somthing I found out is that lvling "Gretta" the rat is not a bad thing. The rat can still be improved with
  • +1 damage
  • +1 strikes
  • +1 move
Not as good as leveling the bowman but still useful

It may only be rats, but it is combat and a chance for XP. lol And we have a rat on our side -- how could we lose? :neenernee

Actually, with loyal and skirmisher that rat has better traits than almost all of our goblins. rolleye

Urgh. Rats were coming non stop, so i couldn't really move.

I tried to give our rat a kill, so of course he missed 3 times and got hit 3 times back in return...

Turnsets are starting to move for this SG, now that we are getting some action. jive

Played three turns, killed some more rats, moved east a bit. There was a handy village for our rat minion to heal, plus a bit more income. smile Still more rats to kill, though.

Try to use our bowman for the kills, as Clammie and the rat minion are max level.

So I killed the "King?" rat realy quick so I just moved us to the next senerio.

I leveled our rat and the purple bar acualy lies he can be leveled atleast two more times. It lies I tell you.

So now we are back in the swamp with our new "friend". Who has a 1000 gold bounty on his head. I kinda wish we could collect that.

Um maybe I should have been more clear. There is a mod our for wesnoth that was added to Gretta. This mod lets you improve your charecters beyond what you normaly can. The one bug?, error?, glitch? is that the bar is always the wrong color. It will be purple when it should be blue and blue when it should be purple.
