I logged in. The first time I've loaded Civ in a month, actually...

um, crap.

What happened?? The great wall?! Halvgod, I wish you had asked for help a bit earlier... this all looks terrible. Where in God's name is your army?!

Hal, did these guys have a plan, or are they on holiday in the South of France? Please walk these guys back toward the front asap.

I cancelled the Great Wall, because that's just stupid. You need units, not wonders. No sense making the pot any sweeter for your conquerers here. I swapped to a chariot because it's the only unit possible right now.

I asked William and Pedro for free metal. As they have the most to lose by a rampaging Suttree, hopefully one or both will accept. If so, the capital will finish it's chariot with enough overflow to knock out most of an axe. Next turn, start a spear (With less than 5h) and double whip the spear the following turn. Overflow should finish an axe.

The north city looked like this before I started:

Um. I swapped to high food/mfg tiles. Cottages are just (again) helping your conquerer at this point. I also hiked science to 100%. No sense dying with gold in the pot.

One silver lining is that your large cities equate to lots of whip hammers. whip them hard, producing a unit every single turn if they can. If Suttree is moving in for the kill, dry whip is still better than leaving him a large city to occupy.

The other silver lining is this:

And so you have a goal: outlive Azza!

By the way...that city just settled escaped only because of a double move...

I saw a kerfluffle in the tech thread about a double move. .. it was the exiled settler that did the deed?

Apparently. Not sure how to fix it at this point, don't even know where the city is; could we get an overview picture?

From yesterdays login. I assume this is the unit that created a recent city?

The spear and settler are on the island.

Well at this point the game is broken anyway so I don't think it matters. We should have just gotten someone who actually cared to replace Sisu.

Ceil have you taken over playing the turns or is Hal still doing it?

No, it got there in time according to correct login AFAICS according to the civstats. I move before, and have done so the past turns.

The double move concerned the John D. Rockefeller player. (vs Green)

1 suttree BLUE
2 John D. GREEN (now at peace)
3 Sisub RED
4 BGN YELLOW

I am still playing, and I did state that I was green at this. I do care, but this is a rather different game from how I usually play. Suffice to say that I would have done things in another way had I known then what I know now.

Of course, if none of the players are happy about me continuing this sub, I can return control to someone else, i.e. Ceiliazul.
