BTW I have a question about esp. Have you been running the espionage slider at all? I would advise heavily against it given you need every bit of commerce going into tech.

I did use it against Suttree to find out how advanced he is.

Ok, logged in after some trouble, lost a diploscreen that I didn't cap, BGN asking for 20 gold I think.
Worker moves to the copper, arriving next turn. Named some units.
Settler belonging to BGN is gone from Yfan Kato (renamed Revival), where there is 3axe,3spear defenders.
He may have taken it further north to avoid trouble with Suttree in the near future. Suttre is teching Music at the moment.
Knoxville appears to be lightly defended at the moment. Is it worth it to attempt recapture at the end of the forced peace? Possibly a better move to defend, defend, defend?
Some unit renamed for posterity and future glory:

Regarding Revival, do not plan on recapturing it. It could have just one unit in it for the next 8 turns, but the turn when war can be redeclared it will be garrisoned well. This is a primary difference between humans and AI, humans play in sudden thrusts while AI plans are just slow migrations.
Cool unit names. Yeah, when at war, it best to assume that the opponent will play amazingly welll and not fail to defend hard.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.
1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.
2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.
3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.
4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.
Regarding Revival, do not plan on recapturing it. It could have just one unit in it for the next 8 turns, but the turn when war can be redeclared it will be garrisoned well. This is a primary difference between humans and AI, humans play in sudden thrusts while AI plans are just slow migrations.
Was thinking more of Knoxville in that regard, but yeah, even with Catapults I have hard times ahead. Should I go for a Settler and hope to regain a coastal city?

I got a diploscreen from retep, not only accepting OB, but look:
Of course I said no.
...
j/k Did I get you going for a second or two?
So now my trade with other players is as follows:
Quote:Wetbandit: Horse for Wine
Oxyphenbutazone: OB + Copper, Crab (for one time fee of 80g)
Retep: OB + Fish, Clam, Iron, Horse for Cow
WilliamLP: OB
With 2 workers available, is 1 chop 1 copper the best way to go? Or best to have them doubletime the copper? At the moment I put them up to doubletime the Copper and then I can set them to go for doubletime the chop closest to the border.
Now how much more whipping do I need to enforce on my poor subjects? What would be best to build forward from here? I am keeping in mind that if I keep whipping, it will completely screw my cities in terms of taxation and research. At the moment I am strong at 80% and no deficit. holding on to the 2 turn archery and 20 turn feudalism plan.
Oh, and the flying russian is entering the land of Retep.
